Robin taught for 34 years as a middle school Language Art teacher. She recently retired from the Anchorage School District in Alaska and has relocated to Raleigh, North Carolina, to be nearer her family. She has been providing curriculum materials to homeschoolers and private schools since 1995.

Robin began working on her own classroom grammar curriculum when, in 1981, she was told that, since grammar was so "politically incorrect," such materials would no longer be ordered! Knowing that a thorough understanding of grammar is essential for students to learn the rules of punctuation and sentence structure, she decided to write the materials herself.

Robin's students frequently tell her that they learned more in her grammar class than in any other English class they've ever taken. Every year college student and adults contact her and thank her for the solid foundation they were given.
"Your analytical approach to grammar was integral to my success in English, writing, foreign languages, mathematics, and my trained profession, economics. [It] put me head and shoulders above many of my peers in high school, college, and graduate school." - Bill Reid, Portland, Oregon
Analytical Grammar has been classroom-tested and refined since 1981, and in 1995 Robin made the course available to schools and homeschoolers for the first time.
